Easter Rising

In Dublin, we visited the Kilmainham Gaol, which was very eerie, even in the middle of a bright sunny day.  It was built in 1796 and is most famous for the execution of 14 leaders of the Easter Rising that took place in this open courtyard.  A simple cross marks the spot where they were shot and we noticed that many streets in Dublin bear their names.
