You & I, Horizontal.

One of my favorite pieces at the Hirshhorn right now is one by Anthony McCall called You And I, Horizontal (I). It’s difficult to really describe. It’s a completely dark room with 3D light forms broadcast on to a wall. The light travelling across the room has a solid shape, like something you could set a bowl on if it were solid. Photography is not really allowed, which was so painful. I hid in the corner and snapped a couple, including this decidedly abstract one, but oh what I could’ve done with a tripod and five minutes.
