Night Scene

This was taken out the window of Adam’s Prius as we crossed a bridge in Miami, a high shutter speed to tone down the blur, but it still has a fuzzy quality that makes it look like a painting. It’s one of the only ones that doesn’t have strands of my hair whipped across it because we were cruising with the windows down and my hair is totally uncontainable.

The light was perfect, purple with thick clouds in the sky, so I grabbed a few frames of what was visible, this ordinary office park. A perfect example of one of my photography challenges which is to find the light first, and then something to photograph. Totally counterintuitive but when practiced, it often yields results like this, a most ordinary scene dripping with drama.
