Self-Portrait

One of the by-products of wanting to photograph everything I see is that I never have pictures of myself anymore. When I got my first camera I took a lot of self-portraits because it was winter and I could sit still better than my cat – I tried everything on myself first. But as I’ve gotten better, I’m the last thing I want to photograph, everything else is just more interesting! But I needed some proof that I was actually in Miami. So here, proof! The camera in front of my face makes it an incredibly accurate portrait and I love the details – the different angled reflections, Adam’s legs in the frame, the way the smudges on his glasses add texture to the reflections, the vibrant colors and the framing.
