This weekend we picked lemons from the tree in our yard and made a huge batch of lemonade. Steve claims to have never made fresh lemonade before we moved here, which I find hard to believe. Now it’s pretty standard to have one or more Ball jars full in our fridge. The lemons were crowded and pulling down the branches, so we filled buckets, juiced them and froze them in ice cube trays. Now our freezer is full of fresh lemon cubes that will last us all winter.
