House Tour Part I: In which I sew a pillow cover

So I got it in my head that this was my last weekend. You see, this week I’m starting a class (more on that later), my darling Morgan arrives for a nice long visit, and we’re having a party. And after this week, I’ve signed most of my free time away to the Obama campaign, and so I decided that all the little projects I had started? It was time to finish them. In the course of two full days (Steve was out of town so I was uninterrupted by his pesky habit of engaging me in delightful conversation and/or dragging me out of the house to do things), I managed to wrap up approximately 349,348 projects.

I painted our $15 craigslist nightstand white. I painted our craigslist kitchen hutch turquoise and backed it with paper, I salvaged a bunch of frames for my print wall at the Creative Depot. I fixed up the trunk that acts as bag deposit near the front door. I found some wooden letters and painted them for an art piece. And then after the sun went down, I sewed. I sewed a curtain and two pillow covers, including the one in this picture.

It still needs an ironing, I know, which I will do as soon as I um, purchase an iron (Sorry Mom!). Of course, as always happens when I do anything creative, for ever project I checked off my list? I added another one…

Hutch before-and-after coming tomorrow!
