Cobwebs

When I start to feel frustrated that there’s just nothing left to photograph without getting on the train or in the car (and let’s face it, that would require actually leaving the house! who has time for that?), I like to play a game that I call 50 steps, in which I challenge myself to take 5 solid photographs while taking only 50 steps. This forces me to look at what I see every single day with a new eye. Yesterday, I planted my feet firmly on the front porch and began. This week I’ll post shots taken during my (ridiculous, self-imposed, good lord when will I learn to stop revealing my total dorkitude on the internet) challenge.

I uncovered this one just four steps from my front porch and I love it because it is both reaching and restrained.
