I’m in Indiana and I got three hours of sleep last night and I’ve trained so many phonebankers that my throat is raw and my feet are throbbing and today I had to call in Voter Protection lawyers before 7am.
I also worked alongside so many determined people who refused to be told that we could never take Indiana, who took a 20-point deficit and made it a battleground, who knocked on doors and drove buses and brought lasagna, who have worked seven days a week for months and stayed up all night stuffing walk packets.
I watched Indiana turn bright blue and Senator Obama become President-Elect Obama and I cried and I feel like I can breathe again because we actually did it. And I know that I earned this. That WE earned this and right now I am so tired and I am so, so very proud.
