This is one of those photos that most people would probably dismiss. It’s blurry. Steve’s face looks subhuman. It’s dark.
But I love it. I love the words on the walls, some very visible, some that leave you straining to make them out. I love the lines and they way they draw your eye to the stop sign. I love the movement captured in Steve’s blurry frame, how it turns him into anyone. It tells a story – the dark alley, backpack, hint of a suitcase, quick look back before embarking on some adventure.
