Hey! It’s a Wedding

So we’re six months out from the wedding now which means we actually have to DO a lot of stuff for it, which means less time for things we actually like to do, but as much as I complain about how long everything takes, I totally bring it on myself because every wedding to-do seems to go like this:

Sierra Tries to Cross Something Off the Endless Wedding To-Do List:
A choose-your-own-adventure story

Crap, my checklist says that last month we needed to (make a wedding website / choose some boutonnieres / register for gifts).

Let’s take a look around the internet. Hmmm, it would seem that yet again every single (wedding website / florist-created boutonniere / gift registry) makes me want to (claw my eyes out / barf on baby’s breath / have panic attacks) and hey! it also costs ($$$$ / $$$ / our principles)!

Well, I guess I could just (create the website from scratch, by myself / decide to make them ourselves so they suit the boys perfectly / just not because we truly want for nothing).

Perfect! Now I feel (joyfully devoid of blinking hearts and doves / craftily inspired / much better, thank you)!

Oh except now I have to (spend hours actually building said website / spend way too many minutes making a million tiny decisions / spend much longer searching out gifts that are rich in meaning).

Congratulations, self! Now you finally have some vague boutonniere ideas (feathers! / curly willow! / berries?) and a brand spanking new website wedsite:

Now to celebrate, it’s time to (relax / actually pick up your camera again / start on your tasks for this month, slacker).
