Of course he's well adjusted! He gets to be 25! Like I always say, when I get old, I'm going to be old and grateful, not old and cranky!

Mothers. Why do we cry through everything that our kids do? What is so extraordinary about this post (with John Legend singing in the background) to elicit so many tears? Not much, unless you are the mother/father of one these two kids/adults. Witnessing people experiencing that over-powering love and commitment is always so fantastic. But when it is being experienced by an off-spring, well, the feeling is pretty intense.

When I realize that Steve's ups and downs affect me as much as those of my two daughter's, well, that is just a fantastic feeling. I love Steve as my own. As I raised Sierra and Sage, I was always worried that there might not be parents out there who were raising their boys with the same values that I wanted my girls to carry throughout their lives.

Thanks Barb and Ken for doing just that. You've delivered such a fine human being to my daughter. As you look back on this date 25 years ago, I hope you are filled with pride at what your son has accomplished and the attitude with which he navigates life. My admiration for Steve is immense.
